Student Projects & CTE Classes and Clubs

APES project
In the AP Environmental Science course, students were assigned to create an upcycling project specifically with recycled material to make something useful that could be appealing to consumers. In this picture, a group made a nightlight out of a plastic bottle and bag. Additionally, a battery-operated light was placed inside for it to function as a nightlight.
Fraction Calculator
To test their skills in the Java programming language, AP Computer Science A students were challenged to create a “Fraction Calculator,” in which the objective was to create a calculator that would compute arithmetic operations between integers and/or fractions and output the result.
Superfoods Project
Students taking the Family Health course were required to research a superfood and create a presentation on its nutritional values. Along with this, they had to bring samples of their superfood for everyone in the class. The superfood researched in this example was watermelon, and “watermelon pizzas” were made to share with the class.
