In this workshop, we went over different ways to find activities and internships during COVID. In gist, we explained how to navigate through STEM Slacks, using Instagram effectively, building a Linkedln, and steering through RoundPier to your advantage. At the end, we also provided an opportuntity planner that we made for members to use.
In the first part of our web development series, we went over basic HTML in an interactive way and showed examples of how the code will ultimately become a website.
In part 2 of our web development series, we went over basic CSS in an interactive manner. Part 3 included more CSS, putting together a website with Repl.it or Github Pages, and final tips.
This meeting was a collaboration with the JHS Aviation Club, in which we went over careers in aviation with applications of computer science in the flight industry. We also invited the president of JHS Aviation to talk more about the club and answer any questions!
This short meeting was a virtual picture day over Zoom. Unfortunately, many people could not show up due to other commitments, but here is the picture that we submitted for the yearbook!
We are honored to be able to join GirlsCodeIt in helping Girl Scouts learn how to code! This meeting was an informational about the volunteer project and members were given time to sign up. Because members have different experiences in coding, we created a guide to learn Scratch for any member who wants to volunteer but does not know Scratch.

Here, we got our questions answered about majoring in CS, internships, and how it's like being involved in chapters like Girls Who Code at the college level!
